After Iloilo City Councilor Jeffrey Ganzon earlier assumed the position of vice mayor, President Rodrigo Duterte recently appointed former city councilor Lyndon Acap to fill the vacancy in the city legislature.

A resolution was passed last year endorsing Acap to fill the vacancy.

The recent appointee took his oath of office before Iloilo City Mayor Jose Espinosa III yesterday. The city councilor affirmed, when seeking re-election in 2019, he will be running on the mayor’s slate.
