Pudadera: New fire stations expected for five municipalities
By Paulo Loreto Lim

According to Antique Fire Marshall, Fire Superintendent Randy Pudadera, the current number of Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) personnel throughout the province is insufficient, noting, their division currently has a total labor force of 122 serving a population of over 600,000.
However, he said new fire stations are expected for Hamtic, Anini-y, Barbaza, Tibiao, and Caluya.
Last October, 200 firemen were deployed to the Western Visayas, with BFP regional director, Fire Senior Superintendent Jorge Fariñas, revealing plans of providing each local government unit in Negros Occidental with its own fire station and fire truck.
At the time, then-Bacolod City fire marshall, Fire Superintendent Rodolfo Denaga, said Bacolod City was equipped with 78 firefighters and six fire trucks./PLL, WDJ
