Man stabbed in Moises Padilla

A man was left wounded after being stabbed at Sitio Bato in Barangay Odiong, Moises Padilla, Negros Occidental on Monday evening.
The victim was identified as 24-year-old Rene Semillano.
Initial investigations revealed the victim, together with Reynaldo Cadot, visited the home of 21-year-old Joel Esconde, where he planned to court the latter’s younger sister, a minor.
The victim and his friend, who were said to be under the influence of alcohol, were reprimanded by Esconde and his mother as it was late at night.
The victim, however, resisted and engaged in an argument.
Esconde later stabbed the victim several times across different parts of his body, while Cadot fled in an unknown direction.
Semillano was brought to the hospital for medical treatment, while the suspect is currently detained in the custodial facility of Moises Padilla Municipal Police Station./NC, WDJ
