In response to his recent appointment as leader for the PDP-Laban in Bacolod City, Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia said he considers himself “worthy” of the position, noting federalism campaigns conducted across the city last year.
The mayor went on to say he welcomed the development with “open arms,” thanking PDP-Laban Negros Occidental Secretary-General Yves Akol.
Leonardia vowed to provide a “sense of direction.”
Last month, Akol appointed Leonardia to lead the local PDP-Laban slate in the city, while Negros Occidental Governor Alfredo Marañon, Jr. was chosen to lead the party in the province./DGB, WDJ
