Seven arrested for illegal gambling in Villamonte

Seven men were arrested for illegal gambling at the old Ceres Terminal, along Lopez Jaena Street in Barangay Villamonte, Bacolod City on Thursday.
The suspects were identified as 54-year-old Clemente Asidoy, 33-year-old Jeni Boy Cantiga, 27-year-old Jason Guadron, 36-year-old Edgar Manogas, 40-year-old Jeron Illustrisimo, 28-year-old Rogen Lles, and 27-year-old Rolly Hofileña, all residents of Bacolod City.
Police said the apprehended suspects were caught in the act of playing Cara Y Cruz, locally known as “tumbo.”
The suspects face charges in violation of Presidential Decree 1602, issued by former President Ferdinand Marcos, which implements stiffer penalties on illegal gambling./NC, WDJ
