A suspected illegal cockfighting promoter was arrested on Sunday in a police operation at Sitio Riverside in Barangay Camansi, Kabankalan City.
The suspect, identified as 52-year-old Lito Dogadoga, was also the owner of the land being used as a cockpit arena.
According to the Kabankalan City Police Station, Dogadoga was caught in the act of conducting illegal cockfighting.
Police said the suspect failed to present pertinent documentation proving the legality of the activity.
Recovered from the operation were the two fighting cocks found in the arena.
Dogadoga and the confiscated items are currently under the custody of Kabankalan City police./NC, WDJ
