Medipeace, a global healthcare non-government organization based in South Korea, completed their donation of 12 ambulances, intended for district hospitals throughout Iloilo, with the delivery of keys for the final three ambulances during a ceremony yesterday at the Iloilo Provincial Capitol.
The three ambulances will be given to the Dr. Ricardo S. Provido, Sr. Memorial District Hospital in Calinog, the Dr. Ricardo Y. Ladrido Memorial District Hospital in Lambunao, and the Federico Roman Tirador, Sr. Memorial District Hospital in Janiuay.
“It is a meaningful achievement that Iloilo has at least one emergency transport vehicle per 100,000 population, [on] average,” said Medipeace President Suh Dong-youb. “Before our project, Iloilo district hospitals [had] only ten ambulances.”
Medipeace has been providing ambulances for the province since 2015./JAN, WDJ
