A former Revolutionary Proletarian Army-Alex Bongcayao Brigade (RPA-ABB) commander was killed after he was shot at Sitio Agbalasyang, Barangay Bago, Don Salvador Benedicto, Saturday.
Police identified the fatality as 35-year-old Charlie Buli-buli, a farmer and resident of the said village.
Don Salvador Benedicto police chief, Police Senior Inspector Jovito Bose, said, based on statements from the victim’s brother-in-law, Buli-buli was tending his rice fields with his nephew when nine gunmen approached the victim and shot him with various firearms, killing him on the spot.
Buli-buli’s nephew, meanwhile, managed to flee unhurt.
Police recovered two empty .45 caliber shells, 13 empty shells from an M16 assault rifle, two M203 grenade launcher shells, and one 9mm shell in the crime scene.
Bose stated they have identified the nine gunmen, although he has refused to name them, pending the proper filing of criminal charges.
He also believes the motive behind Buli-buli’s murder was due to a feud with the suspects./WDJ
