Bacolod City nears 500 dengue cases this year

According to the Bacolod City Health Office (CHO), there have been a total of 499 dengue cases reported in the city, resulting so far in five fatalities.
CHO Environment and Sanitation Division head, Dr. Grace Tan, said the barangays with the highest number of recorded cases are Barangays Vista Alegre, Mansilingan, and Granada.
She added, the three barangays were also declared “dengue hotspots” by the Department of Health.
In response, fogging campaigns have commenced in Vista Alegre, while Mansilingan Kagawad Danilo Suansing said a clean-up campaign is underway.
Tan noted, her office is continuing their information campaign in order to inform residents to keep their surrounding clean in order to avoid dengue-carrying mosquitoes./WDJ
