Following a list brought forward by the Task Force Crusaders (TFC) that included a certain “RN from SP” as an illegal gambling protector, Bacolod City Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran said the Sangguniang Panlungsod (SP) will look into the matter and discuss it in a caucus of councilors.
According to the vice mayor, the allegations “affects the reputation, not only of the concerned councilor, but of the city council.”
Meanwhile, in reaction to reports Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) director, Police Senior Superintendent Jack Wanky, planned to file libel charges against the group behind the revelations, John Chiong, deputy national commander of TFC, said he welcomes any case against him and his group.
“I will welcome them,” he said. “It is part of our jobs as advocates.”
Additionally, in reference to the potential libel charges, Chiong pointed out, “I never mentioned any names of police officers.”/WDJ
