Bago City recognized at Aliwan Festival

The Bago City parade float showcased Al Cinco de Noviembre, the commemoration of the Negros Revolution of 1898, and came in third place, winning P100,000.

The annual Aliwan Festival, which celebrates the country’s biggest festivals, recently recognized representatives from Bago City in both the street dance contest and the float competition.

Meanwhile, the city’s Sigabong sang mga Kanyon dancers landed in the Top 7 of the dance contest.
“Our team was able to showcase the best of what Bago City can offer in terms of culture and arts,” said Bago City Mayor Nicholas Yulo. “We presented a very good performance.”
The Dinagyang Festival of Iloilo City was named fiesta champion, while the Manggahan Festival of Guimaras was named runner-up./WDJ
