Panaad sa Negros Sportsfest begins this weekend

Athletes from across Negros Occidental are set to compete in the Panaad sa Negros Sportsfest 2017, which begins today, April 22, and runs until April 30 at the Panaad Park and Stadium.
Among the events set to take place include taekwondo, football, boxing, chess, athletics, karatedo, and arnis.
Special events for children with disabilities are set to take place on April 26, while events for local indigenous people are planned for April 28.
The Negros First monthly athletics championship on April 27; the Mambukal Team Relay on April 29; and a 3K, 5K, and Group Run on April 30 are also set to take place.
According to Executive Assistant Angel Verdeflor, several top sports officials from various national sports associations are expected to attend./WDJ
