Several bags of rancid meat were turned over to officials of Task Force Botagoy, yesterday morning.
According to City Executive Assistant Ernie Pineda, the meat consisted of pork, beef, carabao, and goat.
He said the rancid meat was turned over by a local business owner, as it is no longer sellable.
Overall, the meat was estimated to be around 2,500 kilograms.
The meat will be disposed by the city officials, while Pineda has urged other business owners to follow suit and dispose of their rancid meats instead./WDJ
