The 30 Iloilo City protocol and liaison officers that served during the Association of Southeast Asian Nation (ASEAN) meetings held in the city last month recently took part in a training by the Foreign Service Institute of the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA).
“They are our officers who can usher or provide assistance to delegates during big events in the future,” said City Tourism and Development Officer Junel Ann Divinagracia.
Meanwhile, Iloilo City Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog said the readiness of City Hall offices, in terms of events organization and management, complements the strong promotions making the city a leading destination for meetings, incentives, conventions, and exhibitions (MICE)./WDJ
