Widower robbed in Negros Oriental

A house owned by a widower was allegedly burglarized in Barangay Poblacion, Vallehermoso, Negros Oriental, Tuesday morning.
Police identified the victim as 42-year-old Melanie Luang, a resident of the said barangay.
Vallehermoso municipal police said the victim came to their station for help, after she discovered her house was broken into.
Based on their investigation, the suspect gained entry by destroying the front door and carted away with cash amounting to P60,000.
Police managed to identify the suspect as Jade Cabarles, a resident of the same barangay, and quickly organized a follow-up operation.
Cabarles was later nabbed in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, after trying to flee from authorities.
The suspect is now facing robbery charges and is detained at the Vallehermoso Municipal Police Station./WDJ
