Two tricycle drivers were arrested by members of the Manapla Municipal Police Station after they conducted a buy-bust operation in Barangay Punta Salong, Manapla, yesterday.
Police identified the suspects as 33-year old Jorge Tomias; and Marlon Samanion, 32, both residents of the said barangay.
Manapla municipal police chief, Police Chief Inspector Edencio Gregorio, said Tomias has long been on the police watchlist for alleged drug activities and was also subject to Oplan: Tokhang, last year, where he surrendered.
However, after discovering Tomias was still selling illegal drugs in the town, cops decided to conduct the operation to arrest him, along with Samanion who was accompanying him.
Cops recovered four sachets of suspected shabu from the suspects, along with the P500 buy-bust money and drug paraphernalia.
Both suspects are facing illegal drugs charges and are detained at the Manapla Municipal Police Station./WDJ
