A woman suffering from a mental illness was killed after she was hit by a truck at Purok Riverside, Barangay Bata, Bacolod City, late Thursday evening.
Police have yet to identify the victim.
Police Station 3 (PS3) traffic investigator, Police Officer 2 (PO2) Eliseo Andrenada, said the woman was by the roadside, when she was bumped by a container truck.
However, instead of stopping, the unidentified truck driver sped away from the area, leaving the victim to die on the side of the road.
Andrenada also appealed to the truck driver to surface, adding they will be checking several close circuit television (CCTV) cameras in the area./WDJ
