POC and Ice Sportswear are set to meet in the Best-of-3 finals series of the Toby’s Sports Bacolod Inter-Barkada Basketball Tournament at the STI-West Negros University gym.
POC defeated Negros Occidental Athletic Club (NOAC), 87-72, to earn their spot in the finals, while Ice Sportswear beat Bacolod Basketball Club (BBC), 97-84.
POC led throughout the game, leading 18-15 following the first period, then 36-32 at the break.
They later pulled ahead to a 10-point advantage, up 63-53 going into the final quarter.
Gerald Abrot led POC, scoring all 14 of his points in the fourth quarter. He was followed by Edgar Villaester with 12 points and Ryan Maningo with 10.
Meanwhile, Born Enaya led the campaign for Ice Sportswear with 24 points, Elvin Diaz added 19 points, Boknoy Benieves – 11, and Bon Cadagat – 10./WDJ
