Joshua Benedict Baldonado of St. John’s Institute (SJI) was one of 14 Jr. NBC participants of the recent regional selection camp in Cebu selected for the national training camp, which takes place from May 12 to 14 in Metro Manila.
The regional selection camp reviewed fundamental skills challenges, along with basketball drills and scrimmages.
Also appearing at the event in Cebu was Alaska Aces shooting guard Dondon Hontiveros, who said, “We never experienced this kind of event during our time.”
“The Jr. NBA is refreshing, encouraging and inspiring for both boys and girls,” he added. “I look into the eyes of the Jr. NBA campers and see their joy in playing basketball.”/WDJ
