According to Bacolod Tay Tung High School (BTTHS) Vice Chair for Sports Jose Montalbo, the Negros Island Region (NIR) secondary girls volleyball team will be ready in time for the Palarong Pambansa 2017.
“The athletes will start their training on March 24, when classes have already finished,” he said. “They will practice four hours every day, for almost one month, in preparation for the upcoming event.”
“This should be enough time to condition the players,” he added.
BTTHS students comprise a majority of the NIR team.
Montalbo added four more student-athletes were recently added to the squad./WDJ
