Three people are confirmed dead after their motorcycle collided with a tanker truck carrying molasses at Purok Trese y Media, Barangay Taloc, Bago City, early Monday morning.
Police identified the fatalities as Lonie Benguelo, Eljohn Iña, and Gerald Iña, all of whom are residents of Purok Putat, Barangay Balingasag, in the said city.
According to Bago City Police Deputy Chief for Operations, Police Senior Inspector Reynaldo Severino, Benguelo, who was driving the motorcycle, slammed the rear part of a parked tanker truck, driven by Jessie Arguillon of Manapla.
The impact wrecked the motorcycle beyond recognition, while all the victims were instantly killed after sustaining multiple injuries.
Talks are currently underway for a settlement, after Benguelo’s brother, Noel, asked for assistance as they do not have the funds to bury the victims./WDJ
