For Social Security System (SSS) pensioners who have yet to receive their additional P1,000 benefit, the agency is requesting they report their depositing bank to SSS.
According to SSS Chairman Amado Valdez, if a report in validated, the SSS partner bank may face suspension or cancellation of its SSS accreditation.
Pensioners can file reports to the SSS Call Center at 920-6446 to 55, via email at member_relations@sss.gov.ph, or via Facebook at facebook.com/SSSPH.
The additional P1,000 benefit for the month of January 2017, as signed by President Rodrigo Duterte earlier this year, should be reflected in pensioner accounts as of last Friday. The remaining retroactive amounts will be available on subsequent Fridays, March 10 and 17./WDJ
