Over P200-K ‘shabu’ seized

An estimated P258,000 worth of suspected shabu was seized in a drug buy-bust operation in Bacolod City’s Barangay Banago on Tuesday night, July 21.

Police arrested 20-year-old street-level individual alias “Toto,” a resident of Purok Langis, after he sold a sachet of suspected shabu to a poseur buyer.

Recovered from the suspect’s possession were several plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing 38 grams and the marked money.

Bacolod City Police Office Director Colonel Eugene Rebadomia said the suspect was under surveillance for almost a month before his arrest.

Moreover, an estimated 152 grams of marijuana leaves with an estimated market value of P28,000 were also seized in a buy-bust operation in Calong-Calong Zone 3, Barangay Singcang-Airport on Tuesday night.

The operation also led to the arrest of 23-year-old alias “Kid,” a resident of the said village.

Police found several plastic sachets containing suspected marijuana leaves and the marked money.

The suspects are currently detained at the custodial facilities of Police Stations 3 and 8.

They are facing charges for violations of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./MAP, WDJ
