The Sarangani 10ACT Marlins leaned on Leland Estacio’s hot hands in the second half to beat the Negros Hacienderos, 108-102, in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) 2026 Season at the One Arena Cainta in Rizal province on Wednesday, July 1.

Estacio poured in 10 points each in the third and fourth quarters to help the Marlins improve to 2-13 in the round-robin elimination phase and snapped a 12-game losing skid.

Carl Bryan Lacap had 21 points, 10 rebounds, three assists, and two steals.

Ralph Tansico chipped in 18 points and six rebounds for the Marlins.

Danny Marilao also delivered for Sarangani, which rallied from a 54-63 deficit in the third quarter, with 12 points, 13 rebounds and three assists.

It was followed by Larce Sunga, with 11 points, 11 rebounds, six assists, and four steals.

Negros was still ahead at 73-69, until Sarangani bundled nine points to seize control, 78-76 after the third quarter.

A triple by Tansingco with a minute left shoved the Marlins ahead, 107-98.

Negros drew 20 points, five rebounds and four assists from Reymar Caduyac; 17 points, laced with five triples, three rebounds and three assists from Lorenz Viajar;17 points, six rebounds and two assists from Michael Alvarez; 10 points, six assists and two rebounds from Rev Diputado; and 10 points plus five rebounds from Jebb Bulawan./ASC, WDJ
