The Bacolod City Police Station 1 is still waiting for the alleged holdup victim to appear at the station and officially report the incident.

This, after the alleged victim visited the office of City Administrator Mark Steven Mayo and gave her testimony regarding the incident on Wednesday night, June 17.

Police Station commander, Major Rondyl Tapang, said the alleged victim, a woman, had promised to visit the station for the official recording of the incident yesterday, but she had yet to appear as of 4:00 p.m.

“If she’s telling the truth, she should cooperate with us to identify and arrest the perpetrators,” he said.

He added that the police are now coordinating with various business establishments near the public plaza to review closed-circuit television footage.

The alleged victim, in a social media post, claimed that she had been robbed by three unidentified assailants while walking through the plaza around noon on Sunday, June 14.

She stated that she was on her way home when she was allegedly followed and cornered by three individuals, who forcibly took her belongings, including her wristwatch.

One of the suspects, a woman, allegedly grabbed and pulled her hair.

Fortunately, a couple passed by and attempted to help her.

However, one of the male suspects allegedly attacked the man who tried to assist her.

She further claimed that one of the suspects punched her in the stomach.

If the alleged victim fails to report it to the police station, Tapang said they will consider the incident a hoax, and they can also file a case against the woman who caused alarm./MAP, WDJ
