Thunderbolts to showcase skills in Boracay tourney

Four student-athletes from the Bacolod Tay Tung High School Thunderbolts have received an invitation to compete in the ABP Legacy Youth Invitational Tournament – Beach Volleyball 2026 from July 4 to 6 in Boracay.

According to an official invitation issued by the Future Elite Volleyball Association Inc., the players were selected to the global Filipino volleyball community event conducted in support of the Philippine National Volleyball Federation.

Representing the Thunderbolts beach volleyball squad are Ariane Mae Alayon, Jemimah Jaslyn Calvo, Sheree Frederiz Uy, and Mhegan Ordaniel.

They will be accompanied by coach Sheryl Laborte-Tuyo.

FEVA said the tournament aims to bring together young Filipino volleyball athletes from different parts of the world, providing them with valuable international exposure and competitive experience.

The event also seeks to strengthen connections among Filipino athletes locally and abroad while promoting sportsmanship, discipline, teamwork, and friendship through volleyball.

Tournament organizers expressed confidence in the athletes’ ability to represent their school with pride and showcase their skills on an international stage.
