P6-M shabu seized in 1 week

The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) seized approximately P6.072 million worth of shabu during a one-week operation in the city that led to the arrest of eight drug personalities.

BCPO Director Police Colonel Eugene Rebadomia said from May 28 to June 3, a total of nine drug busts were conducted, resulting in the seizure of 893 grams of shabu valued at an estimated P6,072,400.

All suspects have been charged with violations of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

During the same period, about seven individuals with pending arrest warrants were apprehended, including four most-wanted person and three others charged with various offenses.

As part of its campaign against illegal firearms under the Philippine National Police’s Oplan Katok program, a loose firearm was also voluntarily surrendered to BCPO.

In the campaign against illegal gambling, the BCPO also arrested a total of four individuals for violation of Presidential Decrees 1602 and 449.

Rebadomia also lauded all operating units, including police stations in various barangays, for doing their job against all forms of criminality.
