An estimated P680,800 worth of suspected shabu was seized in a drug bust operation at Barangay Cadawinonan in Negros Oriental’s Dumaguete City yesterday.

The operation also led to the arrest of 50-year-old alias “Jun-Jun,” a resident of Purok Yellow Tops Zone 3 in Barangay Candau-ay in the city.

The suspect was arrested after he sold a sachet of shabu to a poseur buyer at 12:49 a.m.

Recovered from the suspect were several plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing 100 grams and the marked money.

The suspect, considered a high-value individual, is detained at the police custodial facility.

He is facing charges of violation of Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./MAP, WDJ
