Rape with homicide complaints were filed against two persons of interest in the killing of 17-year-old Freya Mae Go, whose body was found hogtied in a vacant lot at Reclamation Area in Bacolod City’s Barangay 12 on October 22, 2025.

Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) director, Colonel Eugene Rebadomia, said the complaint was filed by Go’s mother before the Bacolod City Prosecutor’s Office on May 29.

“After months of extensive investigation and evidence gathering, we can now consider the case resolved,” Rebadomia said.

He said the suspects, who are still at large, were identified through closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera footage.

He added that they will wait only for the issuance of an arrest warrant.

BCPO records showed that Go was discovered by a concerned citizen who was about to relieve himself in the area.

Her hands and feet were hogtied, and her lower garment was pulled down.

The victim also sustained scratches and bruises.

Rebadomia said that from six persons of interest, investigators narrowed the list down to four.

Following the body’s discovery, Mayor Greg Gasataya offered a P100,000 cash reward for credible information leading to the arrest of the suspect in the killing of the victim.

Gasataya said what transpired was “beyond reason” and demanded “swift, decisive and uncompromising justice.”

He said the development reflects the sustained efforts of investigators who worked on the case for several months, adding that they are also hopeful of solving other pending cases./MAP, WDJ
