Now in its sixth year, the Bacolod Chicken Inasal Festival will celebrate anew this city’s world-famous chicken dish from May 29 to 31.

The food, culture, music, and entertainment events will be held in three venues, including Manokan Country.

“This one-of-its-kind festival in the Philippines honors not only our famous chicken inasal, but also the culture, creativity, pride and warm spirit of the Bacolodnon,” the city government announced yesterday.

On May 29, the Grand Opening: The Taste of Chicken Inasal will unfurl at Manokan Country at 11:00 a.m.

At 6:00 p.m., the Bacolod Chicken Inasal Festival Awards 2026 will be held in the same venue.

The Bacolod Chicken Inasal Festival Rotisserie Show and Festival Dance will be staged at The Upper East on May 30.

On May 31, the Ayala Malls Capitol Central will host the Chicken Inasal Cook-off and the San Miguel Beer Pairing and Food Tasting 2026.

“Let us support our local food industry, celebrate our heritage, and proudly show why Bacolod remains the Inasal City and the home of unforgettable flavors and smiles,” the city government said.

In November 2022, the city council passed an ordinance declaring chicken inasal as a cultural property of Bacolod. (PNA)
