Police operations led to the arrest of three suspects and the confiscation of suspected shabu worth more than P240,000.
Authorities reported that the biggest recovery came from Negros Occidental’s Talisay City, where a 35-year-old laborer known as alias “Chucky” was arrested in Barangay Zone 6’s Purok Rosas at 1:25 a.m. yesterday.
Seized during the buy-bust operation were approximately 20 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated value of P136,000.
In Victorias City, two suspects identified as 25-year-old alias “Mak-Mak” and 39-year-old “Jo-Jo” were arrested in Estrella Village, Barangay 6 at 5:16 p.m. on Monday, April 13.
Police recovered about 15 grams of suspected shabu valued at P102,000 following a drug transaction with an undercover officer.
Meanwhile, in Escalante City, a 31-year-old suspect alias “JayR” was apprehended along Gomez Street, Barangay Balintawak at 4:27 p.m. on Monday.
Authorities confiscated approximately 0.93 grams of suspected shabu worth P6,324.
Police said cases for violation of Republic Act No. 9165 are being prepared against the arrested individuals as part of the continuing campaign against illegal drugs in the province./CJ, WDJ
