A 24-year-old man identified only as “Alias Boss” was arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted by police operatives at Purok Paraiso in Bacolod City’s Barangay Banago on Wednesday, March 25.

Operatives from the City Drug Enforcement Unit of the Bacolod City Police Office carried out the operation at 12:33 p.m., leading to the apprehension of the suspect, who was classified as a high-value individual despite not being listed under the Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council.

Authorities said the suspect was caught after he sold a heat-sealed sachet of suspected shabu to an undercover police officer in exchange for marked money amounting to P1,000.

Further search and seizure operations resulted in the recovery of additional illegal drugs, including six sachets and two knot-tied plastic bags containing a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu.

The total weight of the confiscated drugs was estimated at 210 grams, with a street value pegged at approximately P1,428,000.

Police also recovered the buy-bust money and other non-drug items from the suspect’s possession./CJ, WDJ
