Authorities have identified several persons of interest in a shooting incident at Purok Kabuhi in Bacolod City’s Barangay 10 late Wednesday night, March 25, following an intensive investigation and review of surveillance footage.
The incident took place at 10:55 p.m., prompting police to immediately conduct information gathering and hot pursuit operations.
Investigators later obtained CCTV footage from the area, which proved crucial in identifying individuals allegedly involved in the attack.
One of the persons of interest, known as alias “Josh,” voluntarily surrendered to authorities.
While he denied direct participation in the assault and shooting of the two victims, he expressed willingness to cooperate with the investigation and assist in identifying those responsible.
Based on his statements and the CCTV footage, the alleged gunman was identified as alias “Makoy,” a resident of Barangay 10’s Purok Kasing-Kasing.
He was reportedly aided by alias “Moy,” who resides in Barangay 12’s Purok Masinadyahon.
Investigators also identified additional suspects involved in the assault.
A minor, referred to as alias “Rey,” was seen in the footage throwing empty glass bottles and attacking the victims.
Another individual, identified as “Roy,” was likewise observed joining “Rey” in assaulting the victims using broken soft drink bottles.
Police continue to pursue the identified suspects as part of ongoing operations.
Authorities have yet to release further details on the condition of the victims and possible charges to be filed./CJ, WDJ
