Authorities intensified efforts to enforce safety and regulatory standards after the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) led a coordinated late-night inspection of entertainment establishments across the city on Friday night, March 20.

The citywide operation targeted nightclubs, restobars, KTV bars, massage clinics, and spa facilities as part of a broader push to strengthen public safety and compliance.

The BCPO worked alongside several local government units, including the Department of Social Services and Development, City Health Office, Permits and Licensing Office, City Legal Office, and the Bureau of Fire Protection, highlighting a multi-agency approach to monitoring business operations.

Authorities inspected a total of 18 establishments, focusing on compliance with fire safety regulations, sanitation and health standards, business permit validity, and laws prohibiting child labor and illegal activities.

Inspectors documented several deficiencies and violations, which were immediately flagged for correction.

Officials said the findings would be used to ensure prompt compliance and prevent potential risks to patrons and workers.

Police said the operation reflects a continuing campaign to maintain peace and order in Bacolod, particularly in nightlife areas where large crowds gather.

The BCPO also reiterated its commitment to sustained coordination with partner agencies to conduct regular inspections and proactive enforcement measures./CJ, WDJ
