The Police Regional Office in the Negros Island Region (PRO-NIR) is encouraging qualified individuals to consider a career in law enforcement as it prepares for its upcoming recruitment cycle.
In a statement, PRO-NIR called on service-oriented and dedicated individuals to apply and become part of the police force, emphasizing the opportunity to help maintain peace and order while serving communities across the region.
Officials said the recruitment process will be handled by the Regional Recruitment and Selection Unit to ensure that the screening and selection of applicants remain transparent and merit-based, consistent with the standards set by the national police organization.
While the official recruitment quota and schedule have yet to be announced, projected figures based on last year’s allocation showed that NIR received an attrition quota of around 300 slots — comprising 223 for male applicants and 77 for female applicants.
In addition, the regular quota previously stood at 120 positions, including 88 for males and 32 for females.
Police officials clarified that these figures are only indicative and may change once the official recruitment guidelines and quotas are released.
PRO-NIR urged interested applicants to prepare the necessary qualifications and requirements as the organization continues to seek individuals committed to integrity, professionalism and public service.
Authorities said joining the police service offers an opportunity not only for employment but also for meaningful public service, as officers play a crucial role in protecting communities and upholding the rule of law./CJ, WDJ
