The Land Transportation Office in the Negros Island Region (LTO-NIR) launched a manhunt for a motorcycle rider caught on video performing a hazardous “Superman” stunt on a public highway in Negros Occidental’s Don Salvador Benedicto town.

According to LTO-NIR, the rider was seen lying flat on the motorcycle while it was in motion — an act authorities described as reckless and a serious threat to public safety.

The footage, which circulated widely on social media, prompted an immediate response from the agency as part of its road safety enforcement efforts.

LTO-NIR officer-in-charge Regional Director Jeck Conlu said public roads are not venues for stunts and warned that such behavior endangers not only the rider but also other motorists, passengers and pedestrians.

The agency has directed the unidentified rider to present himself and the motorcycle to LTO-NIR for investigation and verification.

Officials cautioned that failure to appear voluntarily could lead to the issuance of a show-cause order and the filing of appropriate legal and administrative cases.

LTO-NIR also appealed to the public for assistance, urging anyone with information on the rider’s identity or whereabouts to coordinate with the nearest LTO district office in the Negros Island Region./CJ, WDJ
