A man was fatally shot by unidentified riding-in-tandem suspects while playing a mobile game along Purok Katilingban in Bacolod City’s Barangay Banago, past 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 19.

According to an eyewitness identified only as Ronnie, the victim, known as Jeffrey, was playing Scatter on his cellphone when the suspects approached and opened fire multiple times.

Jeffrey reportedly tried to flee but was shot again before the gunmen fled in an unknown direction.

The eyewitness said the assailants’ faces were concealed with face masks, and they were wearing black jackets, making identification impossible.

Emergency responders rushed the victim to a nearby hospital, but he was pronounced dead after sustaining four gunshot wounds to the chest.

Authorities are investigating the incident and tracking down the suspects.

No arrests have been made, and the motive remains under investigation./CJ, WDJ
