The Creamline Cool Smashers rebounded from an earlier setback with a four-set victory over the Choco Mucho Flying Titans, 27-25, 17-25, 25-21, 25-15, in the 2026 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City on Tuesday, February 10.

The Cool Smashers leaned on Negrense Bernadeth Pons, who delivered 19 points built on 17 attacks and two aces, while also contributing 18 excellent receptions and 13 excellent digs.

The former Far Eastern University Lady Tamaraws star’s all-around effort earned her Player of the Game honors and helped Creamline level its record at 1-1 in the standings.

Setter Jia de Guzman also played a key role in orchestrating the offense as Creamline recovered from a previous straight-sets defeat and regained its rhythm against its sister team.

The Flying Titans’ defeat was further marred by an injury to Eya Laure, who went down while diving for a loose ball with her team trailing 9-4 in the fourth set.

They dropped to a 1-1 record.

Meanwhile, the Cignal Super Spikers extended their winning streak after fending off a stubborn Farm Fresh Foxies side, 25-17, 26-24, 20-25, 30-28.

The Super Spikers leaned on a stellar all-around performance from Vanessa Gandler, who delivered a triple-double of 25 points, 15 excellent receptions and 14 excellent digs to lift Cignal to a 3-0 win-loss record.

“We just did what we have practiced the past few days. I am glad to be able to help the team win,” Gandler said during her Player of the Game interview.

Cignal set the tone early by dominating the opening frame and carrying its momentum into a tightly contested second set, where it edged Farm Fresh in an extended finish to take a commanding two-set lead.

The Foxies regrouped in the third, capitalizing on Cignal’s miscues to force a fourth set.

The final frame turned into a tense back-and-forth battle, with both teams trading points late.

Locked at 28-all, Farm Fresh’s Marivic Meneses committed a costly foot fault on the service line, giving Cignal match point.

Ernestine Tiamzon then sealed the victory with a decisive attack to end the two-hour contest./ASC, WDJ
