The NBTC Negros Island Local Qualifying Tournament concluded with One Silay and Bleacher Sports Bar Team A emerging as champions in the North and South Negros clusters, respectively.

The two-day tournament, held from January 31 to February 1, featured teams from across Negros competing for spots in the Visayas Regional Championships in Tacloban City from February 10 to 14.

One Silay secured the North Negros title after edging Team Calatrava, 91-87, in a closely contested championship game.

One Silay advanced to the finals after defeating Victorias City, 95-82, in the semifinals.

Team Calatrava earned its finals berth with an 85-60 win over Talisay Notre Dame.

Talisay Notre Dame finished third after beating Victorias City, 98-80.

In South Negros, Bleacher Sports Bar Team A claimed the championship with an 89-81 victory over Roadstar Transit Team B in the finals.

Bleacher Sports Bar Team A opened the tournament with a 62-54 win against Spartans Hinigaran before beating Pintok Tigers – Binalbagan, 75-66, in the semifinals.

Roadstar Transit Team B reached the finals after a 77-74 win over Pintok Tigers and a 71-67 semifinal victory against Team Mylan.

Pintok Tigers placed third after defeating Team Mylan, 82-79.

Colegio de Sta. Ana de Victorias was earlier crowned Central Negros champion.

All three cluster champions will represent Negros Island in the Visayas Regional Championships in Tacloban City./ASC, WDJ
