Police arrested two suspected drug personalities and seized an estimated P61,200 worth of suspected shabu during a buy-bust operation at Barangay San Pedro in Negros Occidental’s Binalbagan town on Monday night, January 26.

The Binalbagan Special Drug Enforcement Team identified the suspects as 28-year-old alias “Bonbon,” a resident of Barangay San Vicente’s Purok Alimango, and 34-year-old alias “Leclec,” from Sitio Isla in Barangay San Pedro.

The operation was carried out at 8:12 p.m. after the suspects allegedly sold a heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance, believed to be shabu, to a police poseur-buyer in exchange for marked money.

Authorities recovered approximately nine grams of suspected shabu from them.

Police said appropriate charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 are being prepared for filing against the suspects./CJ, WDJ
