The Ateneo de Manila University men’s volleyball team will host the Blue Eagles men’s volleyball invitational tournament at Bukid 14 and Spurs 14 at Barangay Bunga in Negros Occidental’s Don Salvador Benedicto today.

The two-day tournament will feature a seven-team field composed of UNO-R, CSA-V, Living Stones, Himamaylan, Ateneo-A, Ateneo-B, and Team Zoe, providing a competitive environment for collegiate and club squads ahead of their respective seasons.

Ateneo will field two lineups in the invitational as the Blue Eagles continue fine-tuning their system and evaluating personnel ahead of the UAAP Season 88 men’s volleyball tournament, which is scheduled to begin next month.

The invitational is expected to give Ateneo valuable game repetitions and allow the coaching staff to test combinations against varied competition, while also offering participating teams an early opportunity to gauge their form in a competitive setting.

During the UAAP Season 87, the Blue Eagles fell short of reaching the Final 4 round with their 7-7 win-loss record./ASC, WDJ
