Negrense SJ Belangel delivered a dominant closing stretch as the Daegu KOGAS Pegasus survived a late push from the Ulsan Hyundai Mobis Phoebus, escaping with a 79-77 win at Dongchun Gymnasium in the 2025-2026 Korean Basketball League (KBL) Season.

Daegu leaned heavily on Belangel down the stretch, with the Filipino guard accounting for nine of the team’s 11 points in the final quarter.

His driving basket with 1:26 remaining restored a four-point cushion at 79-75, a margin that ultimately sealed the result.

Despite being outscored 19-11 in the fourth period, the Pegasus did just enough to withstand Ulsan’s rally behind Belangel’s timely offense.

Belangel finished with a game-high of 32 points, along with five rebounds and six assists, showcasing remarkable efficiency by converting nine of his 10 attempts inside the arc.

Ra Gun Ah provided support in the paint with 16 points and 13 rebounds, helping stabilize Daegu during key stretches of the game.
