A man believed to have a mental disability was found dead after a suspected hit-and-run incident at Barangay Manalad in Negros Occidental’s Ilog town early yesterday morning.

Ilog police found the victim’s body lying on the side of the road in Sitio Biaren at around 5:20 a.m.

The body was badly crushed and no longer recognizable, indicating that the victim may have been run over by a heavy vehicle.

The vehicle involved remains unidentified.

The victim, an unidentified male, was wearing a brown long-sleeved shirt over a black T-shirt, green short pants, and blue slippers.

A witness told police that the victim had a mental disability and was frequently seen in the area./CJ, WDJ
