The U19 Governor’s Cup Provincial Championship will culminate on Sunday, December 7, with both the title match and the battle for third place turning into rematches of earlier group-stage encounters.

San Carlos City and the University of Negros Occidental – Recoletos (UNO-R) will open the final day with a contest for the bronze medal.

UNO-R, which absorbed a 2-0 aggregate defeat to DBTI – Elan Vita in the semifinals, aims to close its campaign with a podium finish.

San Carlos City, which also advanced to the Final 4, will attempt to capitalize on its familiarity with its Group B rival to end the tournament on a strong note.

The championship match will feature Group A opponents STI-WNU and DBTI – Elan Vita.

DBTI secured its spot in the final after outlasting UNO-R in their two-leg semifinal series, while STI-WNU enters the title match unbeaten in the tournament.

Tournament organizers expect a strong turnout at the Bago City venue as the season concludes with two rivalry-filled matchups that mirror the intensity and competitiveness of the group phase.

The U19 Governor’s Cup is organized by the Negros Occidental Regional Football Association./ASC, WDJ
