A 54-year-old businessman was shot dead by an unidentified gunman in Bacolod City’s Barangay 23 on Saturday night, November 8.

Police identified the victim as Mick Jagger Taasan, a resident of Easthomes, Barangay Estefania in the city.

The victim was engaging in the car rental business.

According to a report from the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO), the shooting happened at 9:20 p.m. along Galo BBB Street, Purok Masinolondon.

Initial investigation showed that Taasan was shot multiple times by an unknown suspect.

The victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds in different parts of his body.

He was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival at 10:10 p.m.

The suspect reportedly fled the scene aboard a dark gray sedan-type vehicle.

Five empty shells of a 9mm pistol were recovered from the scene.

Personnel of the Scene of the Crime Operatives processed the area, while elements of Police Station 4 conducted follow-up and dragnet operations for the identification and arrest of the gunman.
