The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) is now investigating six individuals tagged as persons of interest in the killing of 17-year-old Freya Mae Go.

BCPO Director Police Colonel Joeresty Coronica said that the six were reportedly last seen with the victim before she was found dead.

Some of them allegedly exchanged messages with Freya prior to her disappearance, while others had previous “dealings” with her, he added.

Authorities are currently reviewing several footage collected through backtracking operations to trace the movements of the victim and those possibly involved.

However, Coronica admitted that the investigation has been hampered by limited cooperation from business establishments.

Of the 33 establishments with available CCTV cameras in the area, only 12 have agreed to share their recordings with the police.

He said this lack of cooperation has made it more difficult for investigators to determine Freya’s last known whereabouts and identify who she was with before the incident.

Coronica appealed anew to business owners and private establishments to extend assistance to the authorities, emphasizing that every piece of footage could be vital in solving the case and bringing justice to Freya’s death.

“Ang CCTV footage daku nga bulig sa pag-verify sang mga leads kag sa pag-ila kon sin-o ang upod sang biktima antes natabo ang insidente,” he said.

The BCPO continues to gather evidence and coordinate with concerned agencies as part of its ongoing investigation./CJ, WDJ
