A suspected high-value individual (HVI) and a 15-year-old boy fell into the hands of authorities after the confiscation of an estimated P1.7 million worth of suspected shabu during a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay Singcang-Airport on Monday night, September 22.

Police identified the arrested HVI as alias Roy/Bulato, 25 years old, a resident of Purok Abada Escay Zone 5 in Barangay Vista Alegre in the city.

Also arrested was alias Jay-ar, who police tagged as a street-level individual, a resident from the same village.

The operation by the Bacolod City Drug Enforcement Unit on Vicente Yap Street resulted in the confiscation of about 250 grams of suspected shabu, a .357 caliber revolver with two live rounds, buy-bust money, and other items.

Authorities said Roy/Bulato, who is on the Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council list, faces charges for violation of Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act (RA) 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) and RA 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act).

Jay-ar, meanwhile, will face charges for violation of Section 26 of RA 9165./CJ, WDJ
