Dolphins FC clinched the Under-13 division title of the NORFA Champions League after edging the University of St. La Salle (USLS)-Bacolod in a tightly fought final match.

The championship game remained scoreless in the first half before Dolphins FC struck in the second stanza with a direct pass from the goalkeeper that set up the lone goal of the match.

The decisive strike sealed the crown for Dolphins FC.

Earlier, ADA-Pontevedra claimed third place with a 5-0 win over Legacy Buklod FC in the battle for the second runner-up.

Individual awards were also handed out following the tournament.

Dolphins FC’s Andre Lucas Hernaez was named Best Defender, while teammate Kyanna Ruzzel Cunanan took Best Midfielder honors.

USLS-Bacolod’s Clyde Miraflores was awarded Best Striker, and Gerald dela Torre of Dolphins FC won Best Goalkeeper.

The Most Valuable Player award went to Dolphins FC’s John Zian Enario.

The competition capped another successful season for NORFA’s grassroots football program./ASC, WDJ
