A vehicle accidentally toppling a fuel pump machine sparked a fire that caused an estimated P400,000 in damage at a gasoline station along Gatuslao Street in Bacolod City’s Barangay 11 early Saturday morning, August 23.

In the video circulated on social media over the weekend, the car was seen suddenly lurching forward while the gas nozzle was still in the fuel tank.

It accidentally toppled the pump, which immediately went up in flames.

Pump attendants quickly ran for safety and called for help.

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) responded with 20 personnel and quickly contained the blaze, declaring it fire out in a minute.

No injuries were reported, BFP said.

The fuel pump machine sustained partial damage.

Initial findings confirmed that the toppled pump was the direct cause of the fire./CJ, WDJ
