Bacolod City – Negros Power continues to bring brighter and better communities through its Sitio Electrification Program (SEP), with 27 sitios across Central Negros now energized, bringing hope and opportunities to more families in the area.

To date, the company has already invested P35 million to energize these sitios, marking the start of its long-term commitment to power development in the countryside. The program aims to light up a total of 232 sitios within three years, ensuring that more remote communities will have access to safe and reliable electricity.

Engr. Leomel Tambanillo, Sitio Electrification Program Head and Assistant Vice President for Planning and Business Operations of Negros Power, emphasized the importance of this initiative in uplifting lives in underserved areas.

“The Sitio Electrification Program is not just about bringing power lines to far-flung communities—it is about bringing progress and development. With electricity, households are given access to better education, livelihood opportunities, and improved quality of life. Negros Power is committed to fulfill its target of energizing 232 sitios within three years because we believe no community should be left behind,” Tambanillo said.

The SEP milestone also comes as Negros Power marks its 1st anniversary, a celebration that highlights its commitment to deliver on its promise of “Ikaw ang Una.” This guiding principle continues to inspire the company’s projects and initiatives, placing consumers and communities at the heart of everything it does.

Through “Ikaw ang Una,” Negros Power is ensuring that progress reaches even the most remote corners of Central Negros. Every sitio that lights up is a reflection of its mission to make people’s lives brighter, safer, and more connected—proof that the company’s anniversary is not only about looking back at its achievements, but also about moving forward with stronger dedication to service.
